About the Researchers

Katy Waddell is the lead researcher on Project Harrisonburg who is focused on highlighting the health and wellness disparities present in diverse communities through research and accessible data and information. Katy is a current undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studies English, Psychology, and Media and Journalism. She hopes to combine her knowledge from each of these areas of study to produce meaningful and accessible research to be used by the Northeast Neighborhood and greater Harrisonburg City community.
